The Union Minister for Railways, Communications, and Electronics & IT, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, ceremoniously inaugurated the highly anticipated Annual Capacity Building Plan for the Ministry of Railways, Communications, and Electronics & IT. This meticulously crafted blueprint is designed to meticulously groom a workforce that seamlessly aligns with National Priorities, stays abreast of Emerging Technologies, and champions Citizen Centricity, all the while placing a paramount emphasis on both organizational and individual advancement. During the event, esteemed representatives from various sectors such as Post offices, Railways, BSNL, and Common Service Centres (CSC) enthusiastically shared their invaluable firsthand experiences of undergoing the transformative iGoT Karmayogi training. They fervently emphasized its pivotal role in not only augmenting their capabilities but also catalyzing a profound shift in mindsets, thereby significantly enhancing performance levels in the seamless delivery of essential government services.

In a gathering graced by the presence of over 1000 dedicated employees hailing from the esteemed realms of Railways, Post, CSCs, and BSNL, convened at Rail Bhawan, the Union Minister, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, extended heartfelt congratulations to each and every participant for their outstanding contributions to Mission Karmayogi. Amidst the palpable atmosphere of camaraderie, he underscored the paramount significance of fostering service-oriented mindsets, particularly within departments such as Railways, Post, CSC, or BSNL, wherein continuous engagement with customers profoundly shapes the trajectory of service delivery. Drawing inspiration from the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Shri Vaishnaw eloquently reiterated the transformative power of mindset over challenges, accentuating the imperative of embracing a solution-oriented ethos. He poignantly emphasized the pivotal role of thoughts in sculpting actions and ultimately determining destinies, thereby underscoring the profound impact of a positive and proactive mindset in driving meaningful change.

Additionally, the Union Minister illuminated the substantial investments being channeled into all four departments under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, with the overarching objective of laying a robust foundation for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ or developed nation. Encouraging a spirit of unwavering determination, he urged all present to eschew complacency with current achievements and instead aspire towards loftier goals. With a resolute aim of realizing the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047, he fervently emphasized the imperative of unified and concerted efforts directed towards this common aspiration.

Ms. Jaya Varma Sinha, Chairperson of the Railway Board, exuded a sense of pride as she wholeheartedly engaged in the Annual Capacity Building Plan, underscoring the indispensable nature of a robust training framework for Indian Railways, which stands as the largest civil employer in the nation. Expressing her heartfelt gratitude, she extended appreciation to the Capacity Building Commission for its unwavering support in meticulously crafting the plan. Developed in close collaboration with the Railway Board, the plan meticulously identifies key tasks, maps competencies, and outlines the requisite parameters for comprehensive development at both the individual and organizational levels, thereby laying a solid foundation for future growth and success.

The Secretary of the Department of Telecommunication pledged to revolutionize the training process, making it dynamic and continuous, with a steadfast focus on role-based training tailored to individuals’ aspirations and professional trajectories. Similarly, the Secretary of MEITY underscored the holistic nature of the capacity-building endeavor, highlighting its profound impact across multiple tiers within the Ministry, particularly in bolstering services for Common Service Centres (CSCs). In a similar vein, the Department of Posts reiterated its unwavering commitment to proactive engagement in training initiatives, accentuating the criticality of a technology-enabled workforce and the provision of on-demand training facilitated by knowledgeable experts. This commitment extends to the creation of master trainers and domain experts, further fortifying the department’s dedication to fostering a skilled and agile workforce poised for success in the digital age.
