Chh. Shivaji Maharaj statue collapse – Nilesh Rane alleges sabotage by Uddhav Thackeray faction

Chh. Shivaji Maharaj statue collapse – Nilesh Rane alleges sabotage by Uddhav Thackeray faction through his recent tweet through his official twitter account @meNeeleshNRane. His tweet said, “According to the information received just now, on the day when the Maharaj’s statue collapsed, Ubatha acronym used for Uddhav Bal Thackeray group; MLA Vaibhav Naik reached the spot in the fifteenth minute. How can Naik reach the spot in fifteen minutes when there is no scheduled event around and the residence is in Kankavali city which is 50 km away??? If Vaibhav Naik has done anything in this, then he should get ready to board a boat and go to Dubai or Pakistan right now”.

Action speaks louder than words

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s statue was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi at the Rajkot Fort in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra, while celebrating navy day on 4 December 2023. Within a span of just eight months this 35 feets tall statue fell on 26 August 2024. Soon the blame game started Chief Minister Eknath Shinde blamed it on heavy winds while Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis declared that this was built by the navy. Finally, after almost four days PM Narendra Modi, while addressing a public gathering at Palghar apologized for the collapse of Maharaj’s statue. He said, “for me, my colleagues and everyone Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is not just a king. He is highly reverred and worshipped. For us, he is our Aradhya Dev”. Further, standing straight; head held high, pointing his index finger at the public he said, “Today, I bow down my head before my Aradhya Dev, and by touching his feets by my forehead I seek his apology”.

Vaibhav Naik didn’t paid any heed to allegations levelled by Nilesh Rane

Rane faction perhaps may surely acknowledge the gracious stand of Vaibhav Naik as he preferred to adopt ‘Modiji’s Silence on Manipur’.
