Nath Sagar Dam Paithan opens up 18 gates – Citizens alongside river urged to stay vigilant.  After heavy rains in the adjacent areas of the dam the Paithan dam which is just 50 kms. away from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) is filled to capacity.  To ensure safety of the dam   at the same time as part of its maintenance drive water is released whenever, it reaches its maximum capacity.  Earlier on 25th September, the District Information Office Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar informed the general public through media as well as through social media through its official twitter handle on ‘X’, “The Nath Sagar Dam at Paithan is filled to capacity water is being released from 12 gates of the dam.”  The district administration appealed to the citizens staying alongside the banks of Godavari river to stay vigilant.

In the latest message issued on 26th September, by the District Information Office Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, it is communicated to the general public that, “The Nath Sagar reservoir Paithan is filled to its capacity.  A Total of 18 gates are opened upto a height of 2.5 ft. to discharge 9,432 Cusecs water.”  A warning is also issued to the citizens staying alongside the banks of Godavari, particularly, the citizens of Jalna, Beed, Parbhani, Nanded, districts to stay vigilant.
