Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath enrolls primary members for his constituency Gorakhpur during BJP’s national drive

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath enrolls primary members for his constituency Gorakhpur during BJP’s national drive started from 2nd September.  BJP enjoys the dominance of being the world’s largest cadre-based party yet saw a decline in seats during the 2024 parliament elections.  Before the elections when BJP coined the term, “Ab ki baar 400 paar”, media projected it to be an easy cake but the unfolding events shattered BJP’s dream of winning absolute majority.  In a move of damage control at grass roots level BJP re-started its membership drive particularly at a time when several states are going for assembly polls.

This national level membership drive will be organized in three phases, 1st phase between 2nd and 25th September, the 2nd phase will be held during 1st October to 15 October.  The 3rd phase will be for enrolling active members which will be organized from 16th October till 31st October.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself re-registered as primary member during this campaign followed by other top level leaders of the party like, national president Jagat Prasad Nadda, UP state president Bhupendra Singh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and deputy chief ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak also re-joined the party.

Each booth is assigned the responsibility of enrolling 200 new members, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, organized the membership drive for his constituency Gorakhpur.  He said, “Under the BJP membership campaign 2024, today I participated in the membership acceptance program organized for my home booth in Gorakhpur and interacted with the people.  BJP’s membership drive is a nationalist mission.   One feels proud by being associated with this mission.  BJP is the only cadre-based party in the country which follows its nationalist values and principles in every situation.  Congratulations to all the new members joining the family!”

Enumerating the achievements of the Central and State Government and calling it an attempt to focus on uniting the entire society; this time the BJP is seriously vying for more Muslims to join the party.  It is focusing on connecting with diverse societal groups during the campaign.  For making it easy, individuals can use NamoApp or opt for online membership by giving a missed call to 8800002024 to receive a membership code via SMS, followed by a digital form that needs to be filled out for membership card issuance.
