Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) manifesto vows to fight against NRC & CAA, Privatization of public sector, and boost agriculture.  In the wake of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, National President of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi Adv. Prakash Ambedkar declared the party’s manifesto in a press conference held at Akola.

In its manifesto, the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi emphasized the widely discussed, the most suspicious, and highly infamous NRC and CAA which also threatens a maximum number of the citizens of India.   The VBA called NRC and CAA to be completely unconstitutional.  This law is being camouflaged and portrayed as anti-Muslim but in reality, its biggest negative impact will be on the Hindu society, particularly on the present-day VJNT category people which, in the olden days were called ‘Pindhari’.  Adv. Prakash Ambedkar said the Bharatiya Janata Party is deceiving the Hindu voters on a large scale.  The manifesto reveals that NRC and CAA are not simply anti-Muslim but after its implementation around 20 percent of the Hindus too will suffer badly.

Fixation of Retirement of Contract Workers

VBA’s manifesto includes the welfare of ‘Contract Workers’ as a policy decision it states that we do not want to retire contract workers till 58 years of their age.

‘Guaranteed Price’ Act for Farmers

Adv. Prakash Ambedkar said that the VBA will ensure that a law is implemented to govern the ‘Guaranteed Price’ to the farmers; is implemented strictly and provisions will be made for criminal punishment as well as penal action in terms of monetary to the violators of this law.

Efforts to Minimize Privatization of the Education Sector

A large number of private universities and institutes have come up in India that are charging exorbitant fees which all students cannot afford as a result students are compelled to go abroad for higher education.  In a way, these private universities have sort of hijacked opportunities to pursue higher education.  Students going abroad to pursue higher education are in a way putting an additional financial burden on parents and are also a burden on the economy.

Efforts to maximize provision for the education sector

The VBA’s manifesto reveals that presently the Center has only a 3 percent provision on education, and the state government has a 5 percent provision. VBA perceives that investment in Education is the biggest of all, the education sector plays a pivotal role in a nation’s development. Accordingly, VBA in its manifesto states to strive to increase budgetary provisions up to 9 percent.

Discourage Disinvestment and boost industrialization of agriculture

The VBA will strive hard to stop disinvestment in the public sector as it is the backbone of the country’s economy.  A new industrial policy will be implemented to boost the industrialization of agricultural produce.  It also announced to raise the price of cotton to at least Rs. 9,000/- per quintal and Rs. 5,000/- to Rs. 6,000/- per quintal.

Reservation to OBCs in Promotion

Adv. Prakash Ambedkar said, “We also intend to grant reservation in promotions to OBCs.  He also said,  “If we come into power we will take a clear stand regarding the reservation granted to SCs and STs.”
